Jessica Yellowitz is an 20-year-old singer/songwriter from Northern Virginia. She's been performing in public since age 6. Jessica has opened for a few big names in the D.C. area. She opened for Steve Lauri of the Hollies at JVs in Falls Church in 2014. She has also opened for Natalie York at Jammin Java, May of 2015. Jessica has been a guest artist at a Songwriter's Association of Washington's toolbox (2014). In March of 2016, Jessica's single, Life is Sweet was selected as one of the top 10 songs in the Faith, Love, & Song competition, a national songwriting competition. Often, she is accompanied by her dad, Alan Yellowitz, a professional drummer/percussionist. Jessica performed at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN, on one of their songwriter's nights in November of 2013. While in Nashville, she recorded two of her original songs with producer, Dan Strain. Recently, she has recording at Suckerpunch Recording Studio in Bethesda, MD. Her EP is available on iTunes in an album called "The Very Beginning." Jessica is a student at Middle Tennessee State University, in their recording industry program. She is majoring in commercial songwriting and minoring in entrepreneurship. Currently Jessica performs her original songs in the tour room lobby at MTSU four days a week for prospective students and their parents touring the university.
